Website Search Engine Optimization
Website search engine optimization is a process where a website acquires high rankings in the search engines such as Bing, Google or Yahoo! for various keywords. It is an efficient way to drive traffic to the website. The more a keyword is ranked high in a site, the more traffic it receives from search engines. With Google being the biggest search engine, most websites focus heavily on Google for performing search engine optimization.
1. Content. Content is a textual, visual or audio content that is encountered by the user on websites. It may include text, images, sounds, video and animation. Post high quality content that is relevant to your website. The content shouldn’t be taken from another site.
2. Back Links. Backlinks are incoming links to a website or webpage. They are also known as incoming links, inbound links and inward links. Originally, backlinks were a primary means of web navigation, but today, they have significance in website search engine optimization. Many link building methods are available. For example, contributing article in other sites can be rewarded with a couple of back links in the author resource box.
3. Quality. To make sure the sites maintain high rankings, a high quality site should be built from day one. A website with low quality design and content is not liked by anyone. Moreover, as search engines want to provide a positive user experience, they always penalize sites which are of inferior quality.
4. Back Links. To maintain or improve current ratings, it is important to keep building links even after the site starts doing well in the search engines.
